EVENTS

Northpointe Community Church’s J.O.Y. Ministry will have its summer ladies prayer breakfast 10 a.m.-noon today at Sun City Aliante Community Center, 7394 Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas. The entrance fee is $5, and includes a continental breakfast, music by the Castillo Family, devotional Bible study with packets, gift tokens, drawings and games (647-0015).

Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St., will have the Ushers, Nurses and Greeters Annual Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. D.E. Chaney, pastor of the Second Baptist Church Las Vegas (647-3071).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., will host a community forum at 11 a.m. Sunday. The forum “A Heart Healthy Lifestyle” will feature Tina Revane, a volunteer with the American Heart Association. On July 22, the community forum “Wills & Testaments” will feature Thrivent Financial’s Kent Larson (732-2052).

Heavenly Hope will have a fish fry/barbecue fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 21 at Frontier Southern Baptist Church, 3459 E. Cheyenne Ave., North Las Vegas (321-3343).

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Elizabeth Ann Seton No. 2131, will have a luncheon and bunco event at noon July 28 in Lavoy Hall at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. The donation for the lunch and playing bunco is $10. Proceeds will benefit those in need in Las Vegas (242-2615 or 228-2108).

Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., will offer Upward Sports indoor sports/cheer/enrichment summer camps. Cheer camps will be offered Monday through Friday with soccer camps to be held July 23-27. Enrichment camps will be offered on the same days as the sports camps. CLASSES

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd., will offer a free class on the principles and history of its liberal religious tradition at noon Sunday (878-0443).

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will offer “Amazing Desert Journey with Jesus” vacation Bible school, featuring Bible stories, music, crafts and snacks, 6-8 p.m. Monday through Friday. To register, call Julie Dorse at 454-8484, ext. 232.

Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 8425 W. Windmill Lane, will offer three weeks of day camp 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 23 through Aug. 10.
