MUSIC

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will present its Summer Music Series at 7:30 p.m. Saturdays in June. Mezzo soprano Alissa VanCamp will perform today, and baritone Christopher Reames will perform June 13. The series is free, but freewill donations will be accepted (454-8484).

EVENTS

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Elizabeth Ann Seton will sponsor a fashion show and luncheon June 13 at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 1111 Michael Way. Tickets are $20. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and tickets will be sold at the door.

Wellspring Church of All Nations, 4870 Janell Drive, will have an equipping summit on “Strong Believers Build Strong Churches” 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 13 (631-5027).

MEETINGS

CLASSES

Community Baptist Church, 245 E. Foster Ave., Henderson, will present a Christian Growth Workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Courses offered include: “The Role of Men in the Church,” “Spiritual Maturation” and “The Doctrine of Prayer.” The workshop will conclude with services and preaching by the Rev. Eric Cole and the Rev. Abraham Franks on June 14 (565-0071).

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will present the vacation Bible school series “Paul and the Underground Church” at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday for 3-year-olds to fifth-graders. The series will explore the life of early Christians in Rome (454-8484).

Summerlin Presbyterian Church, 4590 S. Hualapai Way, will offer the Kingdom of the Son vacation Bible school for children at 9 a.m. June 15-19 (243-0780).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., offers an English as Second Language “Talk Time” class with tutors and students 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays (202-6579 or 732-2952).

The Las Vegas Diamond Way Buddhist Group offers guided meditation and dharma talks at 7:45 p.m. Thursdays (260-4426).

Govinda’s Center of Vedic India, 6380 S. Eastern Ave., offers Mantra Meditation, a presentation of Indian Vedic Wisdom, vegetarian snacks and literature at 6 p.m. Sundays (434-8332).

SINGLES GROUPS

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson. For details, call the Jewish Community Center at 794-0090, Temple Sinai at 254-5110 or Congregation Ner Tamid at 733-6292.

New Life Christian Center has a singles meeting at 7 p.m. the second Friday of the month at 1229 E. Carson Ave. (387-5433).
