MUSIC

The Peoples Valley Chorus’ annual “Do-it-Yourself” presentation of Handel’s “Messiah” will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. The audience will be invited to sing the chorus sections. A gift basket fundraiser also will take place to benefit St. Therese Foundation. A goodwill offering will be accepted (565-5060).

The Handbell Choirs of Mountain View Presbyterian Church will present “An Afternoon of Christmas Music” at 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at 8601 Del Webb Boulevard. A goodwill offering will be accepted (341-7800).

SERVICES

Deep Roots Christian Church, 4161 N. Rancho Drive, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 13 with the Rev. Brent Lively. The service will feature violinist and pianist duo Christer and Siegfried Tepper of Tepper Ministries International. The celebration also will feature a holiday concert at 6 p.m. with Tepper Ministries International. A goodwill offering will be accepted. Canned food items also will be collected for the food pantry for single mothers in need (395-9394).

EVENTS

St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church and the Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development will present a discussion with the Rev. Richard Rohr 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today at the church at 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Rohr is the founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, N.M.
