MUSIC

The family program “The Adventures of Bonedog & Whity” will be presented at 2:30 p.m. today at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. A goodwill offering will be taken (454-8484).

The Southern Nevada chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present a multimedia event featuring the words of Albert Schweitzer and the music of Bach at 7 p.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway. A reception will follow the concert in the parish hall. A goodwill offering will be taken (735-7655).

EVENTS

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., will offer the Lenten series “Parables of Jesus” at noon Wednesday. A light snack will be offered (732-2052).

Christ the King Catholic Community, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive, will offer fish fries 4-7 p.m. Fridays during Lent. The fee is $6 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12 (871-1904).

Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada will present the children’s play “And a Child Shall Lead” at 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at Temple Sinai, 9001 Hillpointe Road. Tickets are $5 to $10 for members of the community center and Jewish Enrichment World Services and $7 to $12 for nonmembers. The play is not recommended for children younger than 8 (794-0090).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., will host the community forum “Present Needs of Poverty-Stricken Students” with counselor Pam Simmons of Fremont Middle School at 10 a.m. Thursday. Attendees may bring a sack lunch. Coffee and cookies will be provided (732-2052).

Temple Sinai, 9001 Hillpointe Road, will have a Pesach (Passover) Seder with services on March 29. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Rabbi Malcolm Cohen and Cantor Marla Goldberg will lead services at 6 p.m. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m. There also will be an afikomen hunt with prizes for children. The fees for congregants are $55 for adults and $25 for ages 6-12. For noncongregants, the fees are $75 for adults and $45 for ages 6-12. Children younger than 5 are admitted free. “He’s Alive” the Passion Play will be presented at 7 p.m. March 29 through April 2 and 2 p.m. April 3 at East Vegas Christian Center, 6450 Stewart Ave. Admission is free (450-5511).

Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 8425 E. Windmill Lane, is having a shoe drive to benefit the nonprofit organization Soles4Souls Inc. The church will collect “gently worn” footwear throughout March for the organization, which distributes shoes to people in need (873-3589).

The Church at South Las Vegas, 3051 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson, will have Easter egg hunts following the 2 p.m. Spanish service and 4 p.m. special Easter service April 3, and the 11:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. services April 4. The egg hunts will feature candy-filled eggs, prize giveaways and other activities (361-1579).

First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson, will have Palm Sunday services at 8 and 11 a.m. March 28 (565-6409).
