MUSIC
First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will have a Hymn Festival, featuring brass, timpani, organ and a Mass choir from local congregations, at 5 p.m. Feb. 10. The event is free. A goodwill offering will be taken (384-4554).
EVENTS
The 12th annual Jewish Film Festival ends this weekend with screenings of “Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life” at 7 p.m. today and “Brothers,” “Life in Stills” and “Remembrance” beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at The Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 Hillpointe Road. Individual tickets are $10 per film (lvjff.org).
Lamb of God Lutheran School, 6220 N. Jones Blvd., will host a school supply drive in conjunction with its annual school and pre-school open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The school supply drive will benefit the children at Fyfe Elementary School (645-1626).
Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 8425 W. Windmill Lane, will offer a pet blessing at 2 p.m. Feb. 2. The community can bring their pets, including stuffed animals, for a special ceremony and individual blessing (873-3589).
Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd., will host the community health fair “Healthy Choices and U” from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature local northwest health-related businesses and free activities, including a neck massage, eye and foot neuropathy screenings and smoothie samples (645-4998).
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas will have a rummage sale, featuring furniture, household items and electronics, drawings and a snack bar, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd. (395-6992).
First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will have a “Valentine Candy Factory” from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 8. All ages can create valentine confections in the church’s Social Hall for an evening of “Loving Our Neighbors” and chocolate. Tickets are $3 per person, and will be sold in advance on Sunday mornings. Tickets include the cost of dinner, unlimited chocolate and candy creation supplies (384-4554).
“A Night of Hope,” featuring Joel and Victoria Osteen, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Thomas & Mack Center, Tropicana Avenue and Swenson Street. Tickets are $18 (739-3267).
J.O.Y. Ministry will have its winter ladies prayer breakfast at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 in Social Hall “B” at Sun City Aliante Community Center, 7394 Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas. The entrance fee is $5, and includes a continental breakfast, anointed music, Bible study and outreach fellowship, devotional study packets, theme-related gift tokens, games and prizes. The St. Margaret of Cortona Secular Franciscans Fraternity of Las Vegas meets at 12:30 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month at Pace E Bene offices, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave. (453-2417).

CLASSES
The Las Vegas Lay Dominicans will have an inquirer/candidate meeting at 9:30 a.m. today. All members will meet for Divine Office at 10:30 a.m. and the professed member meeting is at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Community, 4765 Brussels St.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd., will offer a free class on the principles and history of its liberal religious tradition from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday (878-0443).
First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson, will offer a Lenten Small Group Study on Mondays and Saturdays beginning at 7 p.m. Monday. Saturday sessions will begin at 1 p.m. Feb. 2. On Thursday, the church will offer “A Scholarly Study of Revelation,” a Bible study class on the Book of Revelation, at 6 p.m. (565-6049).
