BrandSource to demo quick-cooking oven

BrandSource Las Vegas Valley, which specializes in appliances and electronics, will demonstrate TurboChef’s new 30-inch double wall Speedcook oven.

The demonstration is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the store, which is located at 1335 E. Sunset Road.

According to the manufacturer, the gourmet oven was designed to allow cooks to prepare meals as much as 15 times faster than traditional ovens. The secret to the oven’s speed is TurboChef’s Airspeed Technology, where heated air is blown through the oven cavity at speeds up to 60 mph; foods retain more moisture than when cooked in conventional ovens resulting in enhanced quality and flavor.

The oven has a retro look and an easy-to-use CookWheel and Cook Navigator control system. The upper door is available in stainless steel as well as in orange hearth, thermal red, evening blue, charcoal, white and ivory.

The suggested retail price of the oven is $7,895. More information, including recipes and meal plans, is available at www.turbochef.com or by calling 866-54ENJOY.

Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling the store at 269-1515.

Applications must be received by the Nevada scholarship chairman by Jan. 31, 2008. The winning application will automatically be forwarded to the national organization for consideration. Application forms are available on Pacific Region’s Web site: www. pacificregiongardenclubs.org/Scholarship.htm.
