Mum society to hold social for members

The Las Vegas Chrysanthemum Society will have a get-acquainted social for new members from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Nevada Garden Clubs Center, 3333 W. Washington Av. at Twin Lakes Drive in Lorenzi Park.

There will be a mum slide show and refreshments.

Unlicensed contractor added to wanted list

Rogelio Ariel Moya, who is doing business as Ram Drywall, has been added to the Nevada State Contractors Board’s Ten Most Wanted in Southern Nevada. Moya currently has a felony bench warrant issued on him for contractor embezzlement and engaging in business without a license, and a felony arrest warrant for contracting without a license and contractor embezzlement.

According to the board, Moya allegedly acts as a general contractor, targeting the Hispanic population. Homeowners claim he collects substantial money up front, starts the work and then abandons the project before completion.
