Flower arranging workshops planned
The Ikenobo Ikebana Nevada Chapter will meet March 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Two workshops will be presented during the meeting, both focusing on Futakabuike, a double shoka using two types or two different materials. These types of Japanese floral arrangements incorporate two styles, using various combinations of water and land plants. There also is a fish path that incorporates two types of water plants.

New closet organizing system to debut
ClosetMaid, which specializes in home organization, has released its newest storage system, Solaré. The system combines the warmth of wood with the modern look of black wire shelving.
Now available at all Lowe’s stores throughout the valley, Solaré features a flexible ShelfTrack installation system. Homeowners simply install the horizontal hang track onto the wall and then snap in the vertical standards, brackets, wire shelving and closet rods. Rich wood laminate affixes to the front of the shelving, framing the black wire. A center laminate tower with drawers provides additional storage space for folded items.
A product demonstration is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the west Henderson Lowe’s, 9955 S. Eastern Ave.
Those who make over their closets using Solaré products can enter a contest to win $1,000. Visit www.closetmaid.com/solare for details and an entry form.
