Chrysanthemums showcased at group’s annual plant sale

The Las Vegas Chrysanthemum Society will hold its annual plant sale fundraiser Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Plant World Nursery, 5311 W. Charleston Blvd.

All of the mums at the sale are propagated in the valley and are not usually found at nurseries. All types and colors of mum plants will be available at the sale; club members will be present to assist customers in making their choices.

Valley rose society will hold monthly meeting May 14

Members of the Las Vegas Valley Rose Society will gather for their monthly meeting May 14 at Nevada Garden Club, 3333 W. Washington Ave. in Lorenzi Park.

The session is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. All interested people are welcome to attend.
