Design Within Reach opens in Town Square
Design Within Reach, a retailer that showcases the works of modern legends along with products by young designers, opened a new retail studio at Town Square shopping center at the south end of the Strip.
Measuring just less than 6,000 square feet, the studio will feature bedroom and workspace designs, seating, outdoor furniture, lighting, rugs and other modern items for the home or office.
Like other studios nationwide, the Town Square location will offer the works of designers such as Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Isamu Noguchi, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Karim Rashid, Jeffrey Bernett and Sandy Chilewich.
Design Within Reach studios are geared to create interaction between customers and good design. Visitors are encouraged to sit, touch and test drive the pieces while making their selections.
A grand opening celebration is planned from Dec. 13 through 20, during which 10 percent of sales will be donated to the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum. Additionally, Craig Lavalley, proprietor of the Town Square location, will host a party at the studio Dec. 13.
The new store is located at 6539 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Suite C-110. It is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
