Wells joins staff at design center

Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas has named Randy Wells vice president. In this newly created position, Wells will focus on management of the center.

Las Vegas Design Center is a year-round, professional design and hospitality resource with 70 showrooms that feature fine furniture, fabric, lighting, floral, accessories, rugs and wall décor.

Wells has experience in business development and growth, strategic planning, market research, distribution channel development, and product design and development. Most recently, he served as president of Valtekz Composite Fabrics, where he established distribution for the line through showrooms in the country’s major design centers.

Through his work with Valtekz, Wells had the opportunity to understand the design community as well as how each center operated and their points of differentiation.

“Las Vegas Design Center is uniquely positioned to go far beyond the traditional design center model,” Wells said. “We are going to deliver the best the world has to offer in terms of design resources in one beautiful, centralized location.”

Wells reports directly to Robert Maricich, president and chief executive officer of World Market Center Las Vegas.

William Grenewald, formerly general manager of Las Vegas Design Center, has been named vice president, leasing, Las Vegas Design Center and hospitality. In his new position, Grenewald will oversee leasing and business development for Las Vegas Design Center and its new hospitality initiative.
