California Closets debuts Italian-inspired collections

California Closets, a pioneer in spatial design solutions, recently introduced two collections inspired by the landscapes and architecture of Italy’s Lake Como.

“The introduction of the new collections offers consumers European style and minimalist design that works well with contemporary décor,” said Larry Huegel, co-owner of California Closets. “Lago and Virtuoso bring us outside of the closet. We have many more options now for the great room, the home theater and the library.”

The Lago collection features an assortment of premium, eco-friendly finishes, while the Virtuoso line incorporates Lago finishes into linear, minimalist pieces for the modern home.

Featuring imported Italian materials with unique wood grains, the Lago collection has five finishes. They are Venetian wenge, a lightly textured straight grain reminiscent of elegant Venetian home interiors; Milano Grey, a straight-grain, textured teak in a monochromatic shade; Roman walnut, a textured interpretation of European walnut with dramatic grain patterns; Umbrian oak, a traditionally textured straight grain; and Florentine rosewood, a richly hued, straight grain.

In addition to being the premium line offered by the company, the collection provides environmental benefits. Lago is made with E1 wood, which has reduced emissions potential and is processed according to a strict European standard for clean and safe wood manufacturing.

The Virtuoso collection extends the company’s offering beyond closets, bringing more furniturelike storage solutions for every room in the home.

The company’s product line includes Murphy beds, home offices, media centers and craft rooms.

Larry and Megan Huegel own and operate the Southern Nevada franchise of the custom storage franchise company that features locations worldwide. The showroom is located at 7350 Dean Martin Drive.

Why did my bird of paradise plants quit blooming?

They were in bloom when we planted them five or six years ago, and they bloomed the following year as well. But they have not bloomed again.
