Rankin’s art showcased at Festival fundraiser
Leslie Rankin, owner and founder of Glassic Art in Las Vegas, was honored recently as the featured artist at Sunrise Children’s Foundation’s 11th annual Christmas Box Festival.
The black-tie gala raises funds for the foundation’s 12 programs through a silent auction of gift packages and a live auction of artwork. Each year Dee Ladd, founder and chief executive officer of Sunrise Children’s Foundations, searches for one particular talent to spotlight at the event.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled that Leslie accepted our invitation,” Ladd said. “Her work is innovative and exceptionally beautiful.”
Rankin is recognized for her unique technique of coloring glass without using heat. Her artwork ranges from wall hangings to sculptures, as well as a line of architectural products, including doors, windows, countertops, bars, backsplashes, room dividers, light fixtures, shower doors and tabletops.
Sunrise Children’s Foundation is a children’s education charity that aims to help children “fulfill their potential of safe, healthy and educated lives.”
