Rose society members prepare for April flower show

Members of the Las Vegas Valley Rose Society are preparing for their Hot Roses! show, scheduled for April 23 at the West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd. The show will be held from noon to 4 p.m.

Anyone may enter roses into the show, but they must have been grown by the exhibitor for at least three months in his or her private, outdoor garden.

There will be novice classes, as well as four arrangement categories and classes for every kind of rose.

Entries will be accepted from 7-9:45 a.m. the morning of the show. Vases and glassware will be supplied by the rose society.

Tips for entering roses into the show, along with show schedules, will be available at the society’s monthly meeting, set for tonight at 7:30 at the Nevada Garden Club Center, 3333 W. Washington Ave.
