Botanicals, stripes, sea inspire 2007 look

Nautica continues its tradition of classic design with a twist. New for 2007, the designer blends modern palettes with sophisticated textures to offer clients bedding ensembles that are a cut above.

In one of its first inspirations for the season, Nautica presents Sloan Square, inspired by one of London’s most famous and chic locales. Sheets in 310 thread count, made of 100 percent cotton sateen are complemented by standard and European shams.

Constructed from a warm wool blend, the full/queen comforter retails for $230. Coordinating standard shams also feature a pattern of concentric squares, while European shams are available in a sleek black on gray pinstripe.

In the Resort line, a fun, fresh island motif captures bamboo and lush botanical patterns featuring khaki piping, olive borders and crisp linen sheets.

Khaki piping and a sophisticated silhouette contribute to this modern look which retails for $170.

Other styles include Tribecca, with a soothing palette of sage green, chocolate and ivory. Tribecca sheets are made of 100 percent cotton sateen in 400 thread count. Reversing to a solid chocolate, the full/queen comforter cover retails for $190. The queen sheet set retails for $130.

In the Henley, clients will find a tribute to Nautica’s signature color — blue tones inspired by the sea. Classic and handsome, the Henley comforter and shams feature broad swaths of indigo and navy separated by crisp white stripes. The full/queen comforter and shams retail for $190 and $45, respectively.

Port Elizabeth incorporates seersucker, stripes and quilting in green and coral; while Eastbourne Plaid features a twill weave construction in a khaki, red and navy yarn-dyed plaid.

The comforter retails for $140. Feminine quilting and dragonfly motifs adorn the decorative pillows which retail for $40 each.

All of Nautica’s bedding designs are available at Bed, Bath & Beyond stores throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
