INFANT LOSS BEREAVEMENT GROUP TO GATHER AT SUMMERLIN HOSPITAL

An infant loss bereavement support group is scheduled to meet from 6 to 8 p.m. May 15 at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, 657 N. Town Center Drive, in conference room 3, past the cafeteria.

The group is facilitated by a labor and delivery nurse and is for family and close friends who have experienced an infant loss. Attendees are asked to RSVP before 8 p.m. May 14 by contacting Lisa at 702-303-0106.

SAVING STROKES GOLF CLINIC SET AT ANGEL PARK GOLF CLUB MAY 16

A Saving Strokes Golf Clinic is planned from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 16 at Angel Park Golf Club, 100 S. Rampart Blvd., for heart disease and stroke survivors in all stages of recovery and their family and friends.

A free fitness and training clinic will offer golf-ready assessments by volunteer physical therapists, blood pressure screenings and hands-on golf training from PGA professionals. A vendor expo, adaptive golf equipment demonstrations, breakfast and lunch also are planned.

WOMEN’S BREAST HEALTH AWARENESS LUNCH PLANNED MAY 16

A Women’s Breast Health Awareness Lunch & Learn program is planned from 10 to 11:30 a.m. May 16 at the Flamingo Senior Center, 6255 W. Flamingo Road. The Witness Project of Las Vegas is set to present health information. Refreshments will be provided.

COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR SET MAY 17 AT CENTENNIAL HILLS HOSPITAL

A free community health fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17 in the main lobby at Centennial Hills Hospital, 6900 N. Durango Drive. Activities will include free health screenings for blood pressure, bone density, glucose* and cholesterol* (*fasting recommended for accurate adults) and health education from staff, physician offices and local agencies and businesses. The fair will also feature games, raffles, prizes, face painting, balloon art and refreshments. A free gift will be given to the first 100 people.

MOTHER BABY COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUP OFFERED AT CENTENNIAL HILLS HOSPITAL

A weekly mother baby community support group is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 19 and 27 in conference rooms 1 and 2 at Centennial Hills Hospital, 6900 N. Durango Drive. Participants are required to bring a blanket, pillow, lunch and snacks. The free support group is to open to all mothers in Southern Nevada.
