Nathan Adelson Hospice hires chief medical officer

Nathan Adelson Hospice hired Brian W. Murphy, M.D., M.B.A., as its chief medical officer. He will oversee medical services and the pharmacy.

Murphy was a hospice and palliative medicine physician at Capital Hospice & Capital Palliative Care Consultants in Washington, D.C. He earned his undergraduate degree at Loyola College in Maryland and studied medicine at University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Capital Hospice & Capital Palliative Care Consultants.

Carole Fisher, the nonprofit hospice’s president and chief executive officer, announced the hire in a statement on Feb. 27.
