HealthCare Partners Nevada acquires Nevada Cancer Centers

HealthCare Partners Nevada, one of the largest medical practices operators in Southern Nevada, has branched into oncology with the acquisition of Nevada Cancer Centers announced on Thursday.

Nevada Cancer, with four branches and 60 employees, will be rebranded as HealthCare Partners Medical Group Oncology/Hematology. Dr. M. Nafees Nagy, the founder of Nevada Cancer 39 years ago, will now retire.

HealthCare Partners Nevada came to the Las Vegas area in 1996, affiliated with a medical group started in Southern California.

Since then, it has grown to about 100 primary care clinics in the valley, Mesquite, Pahrump and Boulder City by purchasing numerous independent practices.

Last year, the parent HealthCare Partners LLC merged into the publicly traded DaVita HealthCare Partners, based in Denver.
