The purse tells you what she likes; the contents tell you who she is

Name: Pamela Jenkins

Occupation: Owner of The Cupcakery

Occasion: Everyday carryall bag

What kind of handbag? Gusto.

How much did it cost? I think between $700 and $800. It was a gift.

Where did you get it? It was picked out by my personal stylist Nancy Rosu, along with my two girlfriends, Michelle Dell and Jessica Hirshon. They went together and got it for me as a birthday gift. They know me so well.

What does your handbag say about you? That I am always on the go and need to have my life in a bag. It basically functions as a form of daily luggage.

Why did you choose this handbag today? It is my absolute favorite bag of the year. It carries everything, it’s comfortable to carry and it looks good with almost every outfit I own. It’s a bit sentimental, too. It was a gift from three ladies who are very important in my life.

What do you like about this handbag? I love the soft brown leather and the yellow satin lining really does it for me. A nice lining really differentiates it from a “normal” handbag. The gold hardware is perfect, too, because I wear yellow gold daily.

How many handbags do you own? I own about 100 bags. I’ve been collecting since I was a baby. My Mom gave me my first Louis Vuitton when I was 3, and I’ve been an addict ever since. A lot of the pieces in my collection are vintage. I have bags from my grandma and my mother. I also have some bags from the 1920s.

What’s the most you ever paid for a handbag? $2,500.

Image is … being comfortable in your own skin, letting your attitude towards life show through your style, being able to take a pair of sweats and make them look like a million bucks.

What’s in your handbag? Clockwise from top: Dog treats from Flea Bags, Vosges Haut-Chocolat exotic truffles, “Treasured Middle Eastern Cookbook” by Samira Yako Cholagh, The Cupcakery brochures, Comptoir Sud Pacifique Coco Extreme fragrance spray and a Louis Vuitton pouch.
