If the words “brittle,” “faded,” “dry” or “split ends” don’t appeal to you, consider that your stylist may start using those descriptions in conjunction with your hair if you don’t protect it from the sun. The sun can fade your hair color, create dry and brittle hair shafts and ultimately end up creating split ends if you don’t protect it. Of course, the fashion-forward will opt for a hat to protect their hair, but for the woman who wants to expose her locks, consider a product with a strong SPF of 8 to 10. Here are three ways to protect your hair while you’re out in the sun.
