Shoe Sale: The Giuseppe Zanotti boutique inside the Forum Shops at Caesars is having a sale with 30 percent off Zanotti’s 2007 spring collection. The Italian designer is known for his glamorous, ultra-modern designs worn by such celebrities as Heidi Klum, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson. The sale starts today and will feature select styles from the Giuseppe Zanotti 2007 spring fashion line. Buckles are the main emphasis in this collection, paired with matte and shiny leathers in complex profiles. The line also consists of colorful floral patterns and woven leathers on top of stacked heels, flats and wedges.

Sunny Outlook: Solstice Sunglass Boutique, the upscale luxury sunwear specialty chain, will open its first location in Las Vegas today in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort. This new 1,049-square-foot boutique features an innovative and upscale European store design, a “hands-on” retailing approach and chic store ambience. Solstice specializes in upscale, high-end designer fashion sunglasses brands, yet also offers more moderately priced bridge collections and active sport sunwear lines. Prices start at $75 and can range up to $500 or more, depending upon the brand and style.

Monkey Business: The Paul Frank marketing team has extended its silk-screening tour to include a special stop at the Paul Frank store at Fashion Show Mall from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. One-of-a-kind T-shirts created from a custom-designed silkscreen available only on this leg of the limited four-city tour are available for purchase.

New Jewels: See the latest collection of designer jewelry from Konstantino during a trunk show Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show mall.

Boutique Opening: Join Madewell at Fashion Show mall from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday for the opening of its new boutique. Music will be provided by DJ88 and free drinks will be served at the Madewell Martini Bar to those 21 or over. Receive a 15 percent discount during the event. Fight Skin Cancer: Join Ulta at 2120 N. Rainbow Blvd. on Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. as the store raises money and awareness for skin cancer with Too Faced Cosmetics. Forty-two percent of the net proceeds from the sale of the Too Faced Love Lisa Beauty Battle Box benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation. At the event, makeup artists will do makeovers using the Love Lisa Battle Box. A representative from the Melanoma Research Foundation will answer any questions about skin cancer.

Be a Model: Get your shot at becoming a model beginning June 8 at Fashion Show mall. The Global Model and Talent Search Contest begins from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day in front of Macy’s and Neiman Marcus with pre-registration. Men who are between 6-foot and 6-foot-2 and women between 5-foot-7 and 6-foot and all age 18 and older can register for $35. Callbacks will take place June 10, and those selected will receive their registration fee of $35 and representation in Las Vegas and in Los Angeles.

Old is New: Old Navy is scheduled to open a 16,150-square-foot store at the The Boulevard Mall at 3528 S. Maryland Pkwy. in November 2007. The Boulevard Mall Old Navy store will be located in the northwest corridor of the center near Sears and facing Maryland Parkway.

More Growth: Boyd Gaming Corp. announced a joint venture agreement with General Growth Properties Inc. to develop a 300,000-square-foot retail promenade as part of Echelon. Under terms of the agreement, Boyd Gaming will contribute the above-ground real estate interest necessary to develop the promenade, and General Growth will contribute $100 million, creating a 50-50 joint venture. The joint venture will then develop the retail promenade. The retail project is expected to cost approximately $500 million, including the value contributed by both parties.
