Be a Model: Get your shot at becoming a model beginning June 8 at Fashion Show mall. The Global Model and Talent Search Contest begins from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day in front of Macy’s and Neiman Marcus with pre-registration. Men who are between 6-foot and 6-foot-2 and women between 5-foot-7 and 6-foot and all age 18 and older can register for $35. Callbacks will take place June 10, and those selected will receive their registration fee of $35 and representation in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Travel Deluxe: Molton Brown will hold a trunk show featuring its travel products June 15-16 at Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show mall.

In Fashion: A contemporary boutique, fashion101 Las Vegas, has opened at Mandalay Place. The boutique offers the latest designs and embellishments for women’s apparel, accessories and fashion jewelry priced from $25 to $400. Selections include handmade belts from All About the Buckle, cutting-edge headwear from Dream Controls, colorful handbags by Charm & Luck and a selection of novelty T-shirts created by fashion101’s design team. German Jewelry: Mandalay Place welcomes the stainless steel jewelry and watch company TeNo. The store features products crafted by the prestigious German jewelry and watch manufacturer, Heinz Schwarz, GmbH . TeNo uses new and progressive materials to create its intricate designs. TeNo’s jewelry and watch prices start at $60. More Than 10: Eleven, a South Florida spa escape, announced that it will open a 20,000 square-foot sister location in Town Square. Anticipated amenities include a fantasy pool area with crystal chandeliers dripping into the water, a large specialty hair salon, 30 treatment rooms, 11 makeup stations, a signature Damone Roberts brow bar, an in-house boutique and its very own helipad. Eleven Vegas is expected to be open in late 2007.

Lose the Shoes: Most of us have shoes we no longer wear, yet millions of people in the United States and around the world are in desperate need of footwear. Brighton Collectibles is teaming up with Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization that partners with charities and governments worldwide to provide a basic, yet indispensable gift that most of us take for granted: the gift of shoes. Fashion Camp: Teenagers interested in a career in fashion will have the opportunity to apply for Cotton’s Fashion Camp at Fashion Show mall. The Aug. 13-18 camp is geared toward teens interested in pursuing careers in fashion and design. Campers will meet with industry leaders, receive fashion instruction in a variety of fields including retail merchandising, fashion buying, retail management, fashion styling and photography and fashion writing and editing. Fashion camp is open to students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grades in fall 2007. The cost is $150 per camper.
