Third Annual image Model Search: Do you have what it takes to be the next winner in image’s third annual Model Search? We’re looking for men and women between 21 and 29 to join our search for the next great models in Las Vegas. Shoe Sale: Now through the end of August, Giuseppe Zanotti inside the Forum Shops at Caesars is having a sale with 50 percent off the full line of women’s footwear, handbags and accessories from the 2007 spring/summer collection.
Reading is Fundamental: Now through Sept. 12, Macy’s customers can make a $3 donation to RIF at any Macy’s register. Donations will be divided evenly among three charities: $1 will support local RIF programs; $1 will support Macy’s Multicultural Literacy Project, a program that provides RIF resources for children whose first language is not English; and $1 will support reading resources for children nationwide.
Back to School: Before the new school year begins, Meadows Mall gives students the opportunity to hang out at “The Scene,” a back-to-school teen event. The program showcases fashion, entertainment and lifestyle activities for today’s teenagers. The Scene takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Sears Court at the Meadows Mall.
Macy’s Goes Back to School: Get back into the swing of school with a back-to-school fashion show presented by Dell at Macy’s at the Galleria at Sunset at 2 p.m. Saturday. Winners of the Macy’s model search will walk the runway and participants can glam it up with mini-makeovers from Benefit and listen to 93.1 The Party. A Dell lounge will feature the computer company’s new color notebooks in eight choices. One lucky winner will receive their very own. Those who spend $75 or more in the Juniors Department will receive an exclusive Macy’s swag bag with gifts from Juniors designers.
Fashion for a Cause: Kim Flowers Talent Development Academy and Wal-Mart will be introducing a new addition to the 9th Annual Community Back-To-School Health & Educational Fair. A youth fashion show will showcase fashions donated by Wal-Mart Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the fashion show featured at 11:30 a.m. in the Horn Theatre at the College of Southern Nevada Cheyenne Campus. Wal-Mart will be donating the clothing from the fashion show to underprivileged children.
Make a Purse: On Saturday, the women behind B’s Purses, the Web site where you can design your own bags, will gather at the Palms for their annual B’s Purse Girls That Rock Designer Convention. Pre-registered B’s designers will gather to attend a mega Purse Party to learn about what’s new with B’s Purses and what to expect for the upcoming fall/winter season.
