Luxury benchmark in Vegas $1 million

Q: I’m from California and have been hearing about a lot of luxury homes on the market. Can you tell me what qualifies as far as price for a luxury home in Las Vegas? Are there a lot to choose from in different parts of the valley? How many are on the market?

A: That’s fantastic that you are hearing about luxury homes in Las Vegas and you have excellent questions.

At Luxury Estates International we consider anything more than $1 million a luxury residence. That’s compared with New York City, where $5 million dollars and up is the benchmark, and Los Angeles, where $3 million-plus qualifies as luxury. You really can get tremendous value for your money in Vegas, not to mention the tax benefits. According to the Multiple Listing Service, there are more than 400 homes priced at $1 million or more available throughout the Las Vegs Valley.

Luxury high-rises in the heart of the Strip, including The Mandarin Oriental, Veer and The Martin are excellent for a turn-key, peace of mind lifestyle and world class amenities. If you are looking for a home in a golf-course community, we have plenty of inventory to choose from, including stunning estates at Red Rock Country Club, Spanish Trails and Southern Highlands. The Ridges in Summerlin is one of our most luxurious communities with gorgeous views and desert contemporary architecture. The Scotch 80s, near downtown Las Vegas, offers a vintage Vegas vibe and has boasted celebrity residents such as Howard Hughes, Jerry Lewis and Steve Wynn. To build your dream home from scratch, hundreds of sites are available at custom home communities, such as Ascaya in Henderson or the Summit Club in Summerlin. Vegas even has equestrian estates with luxury stables, tack rooms and acres to roam.

There is such a wide variety and so many options available that it can be overwhelming. I recommend contacting a real estate professional to help you navigate and find exactly what you are looking for in your Las Vegas luxury home.
