Veteran of three military branches calls Summerlin home

When their search for a new home began, Las Vegas residents Dr. Jim and Margarita Ruffer said they were initially drawn to Toll Brothers’ strong brand reputation. They recently purchased their dream home in the gated community of Santaluz in Summerlin. The Catania floor plan has a large home site and mountainous surrounding.

“Our home’s location along the edge of the Red Rock (National) Conservation Area and its abundant amount of natural light only enhance the beautiful design and features of our spectacular new home,” said Jim Ruffer, a retired Marine captain, Navy commander and Air Force colonel. He is also a physician and pilot. “Adding to the excitement of watching our home come to life are our really great neighbors, plus the quality relationship that Margarita and I formed with Toll Brothers’ extremely friendly and professional sales team.”

Senior Sales Manager Ernie Alegre adds, “Working with Jim and Margarita was a truly unique experience. Jim’s exceptional life story serving in three branches of the military and three combat campaigns is incredibly noteworthy, and it was my honor to have the ability to facilitate such a great couple’s ultimate dream home purchase. Jim’s service has carried them around the world, and it’s humbling to be part of their special place to call home.”

Parents of 10 children and 40 grandchildren, the Ruffers’ oversized rear yard will undoubtedly be the site of many family gatherings, as will their spacious gourmet kitchen and dining area during Sunday family dinners.
