Vertical living in downtown Las Vegas

At The Ogden in downtown Las Vegas, homeowners of all ages are drawn to the perks of living in the heart of the city while simultaneously enjoying the opportunity to right-size their home.

That’s because condominium homes in the 21-story iconic downtown tower come in a range of sizes, from a compact spacious one-bedroom with powder room to an expansive three-bedroom home, plus den. These homes can accommodate the needs of a variety of homebuyers, from first-time buyers and baby boomers who are often moving from larger suburban homes.

According to Stephanie Reese, director of sales, vertical living isn’t always associated with choice or space, but at The Ogden, homes have been carefully and thoughtfully designed with a variety of lifestyles in mind.

“We have many residents at The Ogden who are near or in retirement and are looking to right-size their home without downsizing or giving up extra space like large kitchens, guest bedrooms and dens,” Reese said. “Our largest model, The Goodman, encompasses 2,044 square feet and lives like a ranch house in the sky via three bedrooms, plus den.

“That’s a lot of space to accommodate an in-home office and visiting family and friends while still delivering the benefits of high-rise urban living, such as concierge service and access to 24-hour fun and nightlife just outside the front door.”

Reese says The Ogden is home to a growing number of baby boomers who are ready to start a new chapter in their lives.

“Often, their children are grown, their careers are still thriving or winding down, and they want to minimize home and yard maintenance,” she said. “They are ready to explore all that’s new and exciting downtown and want to travel more easily by locking the door behind them without the worry of finding someone to take care of their house when they’re gone.”

“Buying a home at The Ogden is a package deal that delivers more than a great place to live; it comes standard with an entire lifestyle and immediate access to everything downtown offers, including killer views of the Strip and the mountains that surround the valley,” said Uri Vaknin, a partner at KRE Capital LLC, whose company, in partnership with Dune Real Estate Partners, purchased The Ogden in 2013 as DK Las Vegas.

The Ogden recently underwent a $2 million renovation as part of its return to condominium residences, including a reimagining of its lifestyle amenities inside the property. The Ogden is now home to a rooftop pool, Sky Deck, social lounge, fitness studio, pet park and even casual workspaces that provide residences with inviting and interesting places to work and conduct meetings.

Homes at The Ogden range from a one-bedroom, 815-square-foot residence from the mid-$200,000s to a three-bedroom, plus den 2,044-square-foot home for $629,000. Residences feature a modern design aesthetic in keeping with the architecture and the lifestyle vibe, private balconies and expansive views of downtown Las Vegas, the Strip and the mountains that frame the valley.

The Ogden’s single-story, open floor plans offer flex spaces that can serve as a home office, den or yoga room, extra bedrooms for accommodating multigenerational family and guests and spacious windows that fill interiors with natural light.
