Inspirada to celebrate roadway extension

Inspirada, a Henderson master-planned community, is partnering with the city of Henderson to bring Inspirada residents and neighboring community members a Neon Ride on Sept. 29. The family-friendly outdoor activity is an 8K fun ride that commemorates the grand opening of the new roadway extension connecting Via Inspirada to Las Vegas Boulevard.

“We are so excited for the opening of the roadway extension connecting people from Via Inspirada to Las Vegas Boulevard and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the area’s milestone than with a Neon Ride,” said Megan Conklin, lifestyle director of the Inspirada Community Association. “This type of connection is instrumental for commuters going to and from Inspirada and its neighboring communities, especially given the continued growth and development of the area. We look forward to seeing all the bright and vibrant ways participants decorate their “rides” and can’t wait to experience the journey with our residents and neighboring friends.”

Pre-event festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the southeast end of Aventura Park at 2525 Via Firenze in Henderson. Participants will enjoy neon face-painting, live entertainment and complimentary tastings provided by local food trucks — Kona Ice and Street Freeze (while supplies last). There also will be neon decorating stations, encouraging participants to get creative and decorate their bikes, scooters, tricycles, strollers, wagons.

The Neon Ride kicks off at 6:30 p.m., taking participants on an approximate 8K trek from Aventura Park along the new Via Inspirada connecting to Las Vegas Boulevard.

All Mountain Cyclery, a premier bike shop, is inviting participants to rent bikes for a nominal fee. Rentals can be made by calling 702-453-2453.

The 3-mile roadway extension project connecting Via Inspirada to Las Vegas Boulevard via two lanes broke ground last summer and now paves the way to more convenient freeway access for residents and neighbors. The project marked the next phase of development to the west of the current community, demonstrating the continued growth of Inspirada and its vision to further expand its footprint as the seventh best-selling master-planned community in the nation.

Inspirada is ranked as the best-selling master-planned community in Henderson. With a projected buildout of 8,500 homes within the Inspirada villages by Inspirada Builders LLC, it is home to more than 4,000 residents who have access to programs and activities managed by a full-time staff that creates social calendars to bring neighbors together.

It is home to four parks, three with resident-only heated pools, barbecue and picnic areas, basketball, bocce and volleyball courts, soccer fields, splash pad and dog parks.
