Inspirada celebrates fall with OktoBEERfest Oct. 5

Inspirada, a master-planned community in west Henderson, invites residents and surrounding valley neighbors to break out the lederhosen and dirndls and attend the OktoBEERfest, Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. at Solista Park at 1890 Via Firenze.

“We are inviting the entire family to join us as we celebrate the arrival of fall with our second annual October festival: OktoBEERfest,” said Megan Conklin, lifestyle director, Inspirada Community Association. “While we are shining a special spotlight on the most loved craft beers at our biergarten, we will also have a designated children’s play area and activities. And, because we know a festival isn’t a festival without plenty of good eats, there will be several food trucks and restaurateurs offering authentic German treats.”

The biergarten will feature signature hops from craft brewers, such as Las Vegas’ own Bad Beat Beers and locally made German treats, including bratwursts from King’s Sausage food truck and Henderson’s Prop &Peller pretzels served by Jolly Beans Café, Inspirada’s neighborhood coffee shop. Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in the assortment of unique sugary confections by The Cookie Bar, including the Apple Doodle, Twisted Krispie, The Nookie and adult-only treats such as the Beer Brownie and Booze Munch. Guests will enjoy an all-around sensory experience with live entertainment by Ken Mathis Band and Las Vegas Bavarian Dance Group, comprised of The Folk Dancers and the Schuhplattles, which translates to “the funny Bavarian shoe slappers.” Guests are also encouraged to take photos with the roaming German stilt walkers.

The event is free and open to the public. The biergarten is for guests 21 and older. Food and refreshments available for purchase. Guests will receive a free commemorative stein with purchase of beer from Bad Beats Beers or an item from any of the food trucks, while supplies last.

Inspirada is ranked as the best-selling master-planned community in Henderson. With a projected build-out of 8,500 homes within the Inspirada villages by Inspirada Builders LLC, Inspirada is home to more than 4,000 residents who have access to programs and activities managed by a full-time staff that creates social calendars to bring neighbors together in the parks and the Inspirada Community Center.

It is home to four parks, three with resident-only heated pools, barbecue and picnic areas, basketball, bocce and volleyball courts, soccer fields, a splash pad and dog parks.
