East Coast Native Purchases First Home at Spanish Palms

When Andy Valor’s company relocated its headquarters from south Florida to Las Vegas, it was the perfect opportunity for him to pack up his belongings and move to the Entertainment Capital of the World. Valor recently purchased his very first home at Spanish Palms, a guard-gated condominium community located at 5250 S. Rainbow Blvd.

“I grew up in Boca Raton, (Florida,) which is notorious for tornadoes and enduring severe weather conditions, so when I learned I was moving to Las Vegas, I was thrilled,” Valor said. “While the desert climate is so much more predictable and calm, I was pleasantly surprised to find Spanish Palms, a hidden oasis with mature landscaping and a sense of serenity in the bustling city of Las Vegas.”

The community was recommended to Valor by his parents and Realtor, and he was glad he listened to their advice when they said Spanish Palms would be the perfect place to put down roots and buy his first home.

“As a first-time buyer, I was unfamiliar and a little intimidated by the process, but the Spanish Palms team, along with their partners at The Federal Savings Bank, made it easy — from the application through closing.

I am now a proud homeowner and couldn’t be happier with my decision.”

Valor had many reasons for purchasing his one-bedroom residence at Spanish Palms, and he was especially drawn to the community’s gated security, proximity to the Strip, popular restaurants and shopping centers, as well as accessibility to major highways, medical facilities, grocery stores and more.

“There is a mature and beautifully maintained tree in front of my home, which provides shade and makes for a wonderful view from my window,” Valor said. “The community also has a partnership with Spanish Trails across the way, and I’ve already signed up for a country club membership. I can’t wait to put my putting and golfing skills to the test.”

Spanish Palms continues to be one of the fastest-selling condominium communities in Las Vegas for many reasons, including enhanced amenities, such as a fitness studio, private clubhouse for gatherings and parties and two resort-style pools.

The centerpiece of the community is Central Park, which features lush and well-manicured landscaping with BBQ grills, making it ideal for picnics and entertaining; plenty of shaded areas; and a playground, putting green, gazebo and pet park complete with an agility course.

Spanish Palms offers three single-story floor plans ranging between 744 and more than 1,131 square feet. Each home comes with its own attached garage that provides an additional storage stage, a rarity in the condominium world. Homes are priced starting from $138,900.

Located on the west side of the valley, across from the celebrated private golf club Spanish Trail, Spanish Palms is just minutes from the Strip and McCarran International Airport, and it is surrounded by popular restaurants, retail centers and neighborhood services.

Spanish Palms offers several financing programs, including Veterans Affairs, Federal Housing Administration and Fannie Mae-backed loans that make buying a home possible for many who otherwise wouldn’t be in a position to buy. Today, fewer than 16 of 370 homes are still available for purchase.

For more information, call 702-719-6100 or visit SpanishPalmsLV.com. The sales center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
