Couple finds hidden oasis at Spanish Palms

Ralph and Ana Posmoga were California residents for more than three decades and moved to Las Vegas in 2005 for a more affordable cost of living and better opportunities. This year they decided to move from their single-family home to a two-bedroom residence at Spanish Palms, the gated resort-style condominium community at 5250 S. Rainbow Blvd.

“The company I worked with downsized due to the economy, therefore we sold our Silicon Valley home and purchased a brand new home in North Las Vegas,” Ralph Posmoga said. “We had a five-year plan, but when the market crashed in 2008, we felt as if our hands were tied. We look back and realize the turn of events was a blessing in disguise because it compelled us to stay and eight years later, here we are at Spanish Palms, living the lifestyle we’ve always wanted.”

When the couple discovered Spanish Palms, it was love at first sight, they said. There was so much to love, according to Ana Posmoga, who cited as selling points the lush and manicured landscaping, Central Park, walking trails, resort-style pools, upgraded floor plans and pet-friendly amenities throughout the neighborhood, including the dog agility course.

“Even our dog, Leo, loves it here,” Ralph Posmoga said.

“I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and am used to a more tropical environment, so I especially appreciated the mature and lush landscaping at Spanish Palms,” Ana Posmoga said. “After checking out all the floor plans, we opted for a two-bedroom home on the first floor, which is perfect for us. Leaving the maintenance of a large single-family home has been a breath of fresh air. We appreciate our perfectly sized new home with no yard upkeep. We feel like we can really now begin living our golden years.”

The Posmogas, who have two children, recently welcomed their first grandchild.

“Our son and daughter-in-law were blessed with a baby girl earlier this year, and we look forward to soon visiting family in Mississippi,” Ralph Posmoga said. “Because Spanish Palms is guard-gated around the clock, we have the peace of mind to leave town, knowing that our home and our belongings are secure. Our second daughter lives in San Diego, so we plan on taking more road trips to spend time with her. We really appreciate the lock-and-leave lifestyle of Spanish Palms.”

Spanish Palms offers three floor plans ranging from 744 square feet to more than 1,131 square feet, with homes starting from $138,900. Spanish Palms signature amenities include Central Park, an expanded fitness center, business center and conference room inside the clubhouse.
