Condominium community is pet-friendly

A small-town California native, Susan Watson relocated to Las Vegas looking for better career opportunities, leaving the Golden State for the first time and stepping outside her comfort zone.

“I went from living in a town of 10,000 residents to one of the most-visited destinations in the world, and I couldn’t be happier,” Watson said. “Earlier this year, I discovered Spanish Palms. After previously owning two homes and renting in multiple communities, I feel well-versed in living options, so I am confident I’ve landed the perfect home for my needs and my lifestyle.

“Spanish Palms offers me everything I miss about living in a single-family home, minus all the things I didn’t want, such as the maintenance and steep mortgage.”

Watson is a longtime employee of Southwest Gas and shared that her discovery of Spanish Palms started when a colleague at work began looking at high-rise and condominium communities. Spanish Palms is a gated resort-style condominium community at 5220 S. Rainbow Blvd., near Hacienda Boulevard.

“No matter where I lived in Las Vegas, I always knew something was missing,” Watson said. “I turned to roommates to assist with my mortgages and it always came down to the realization that the upkeep was just not worth my time. I like to think that the living situations were just stepping stones to finding Spanish Palms, which offers me everything I could want in a home. From impeccable value, location, security, pet-friendly amenities, the perfect floor plan and a beautifully landscaped community, I have it all now.”

Watson shared that her co-worker also fell in love with the community and is purchasing a home in the building next to her. The sales team made her application process seamless, and she was so excited about her new home, she moved in one day after closing.

“I have a two-car, attached garage, which I am absolutely thrilled about, because it was the one thing I missed most about owning a single-family home,” Watson said. “Coming from a small town where everything felt quaint and everyone knew each other, it was a challenge finding my sense of security, no matter where I lived in the valley. But Spanish Palms fulfilled that for me, and I finally feel like I found my safe place in this big city. And my dog, Gretchen, approves because the nearest pet water station is just steps outside my front door.”

During her free time, Watson enjoys exploring new restaurants, seeing concerts and going to the movies with friends, which are all within a short drive from Spanish Palms.

Spanish Palms offers three floor plans ranging between 744 square feet and more than 1,131 square feet, and with homes starting from $131,900. Spanish Palms signature amenities include Central Park, an expanded fitness center, business center and conference room inside the clubhouse. Spanish Palms offers access to Veterans Affairs and Federal Housing Administration home financing, allowing home buyers to purchase a home with as little as 3.5 percent down or less. Today, less than 20 percent of its 372 homes are still available for purchase.
