City of Henderson employee makes Inspirada home

New York native Edward Kirby has lived in Southern Nevada since he was a child, making him a well-informed veteran of the area and particularly Henderson, where he works for the city’s department of tourism.

“Henderson’s charm has always pulled me in and as a city employee, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the development and growth of one of the top 10 cities to live in the country, according to various reputable news sources and reports,” he said.

“When I started looking for a new home for my family, Inspirada was a perfect fit for our needs. The combination of the community’s lush parks, walking and running trails, resident event programming and the overall sense of community easily made Inspirada the top contender for my family. We moved into our new home in March and love everything about our lifestyle here.”

Kirby and his two children, who pride themselves on being a very active family, enjoy the parks, sports fields, dog parks and multiple pools.

“As someone who works for the city of Henderson, I love being able to talk from personal experience when I get questions about our neighborhoods and offerings. I have an easy commute to work, and when we want to entertain others on the Strip, we have convenient access to freeways, minutes from home.”

The Kirbys are also fans of the fresh52 Farmers Markets regularly held at Solista Park.

“It’s refreshing to purchase organic produce and quality food products right in our own backyard. And for our other grocery needs, there’s an Albertsons and Trader Joe’s less than 10 minutes from home. The only thing I wished for was that Inspirada was built when my son and daughter were younger, because I would have definitely chosen to raise them here,” Kirby said.

Kirby also shares his excitement for the city’s future development plans for the area, including new schools, additional retail shopping centers, and convenient store and gas locations.

With a projected build-out of 8,500 homes, Inspirada is home to more than 4,000 residents. For more information, visit www.inspirada.com or follow the community on Facebook at www.facebook.com/InspiradaNV.
