American West Homes offers custom features

American West Homes, a local homebuilder who has been building in the Las Vegas Valley since 1984, offers custom features in its nine Las Vegas Valley new-home communities.

Customization of the new home starts at the time of contract. Homebuyers are given the luxury of choosing their homesite and choose what exact home they want on that homesite, said Larry Canarelli, president of American West Homebuilding Group.

“We don’t say, ‘This home goes on this lot,’ like most builders. That decision is entirely up to the customer. You pick the homesite that suits you best, then we’ll build the home you want on it,” he said.

Homebuyers also are permitted to situate the placement of their home on their chosen home site.

“Letting buyers plot their own house gives them the opportunity to maximize the yard space that’s most important to them,” he said. “Incorporating our buyers’ needs and dreams into each of our homes … that’s one of the fundamental keys to American West’s unprecedented success.”

“We do things that help buyers turn their new house into a ‘home.'”

After the homebuyer selects the lot, he or she can choose the floor plan, exterior color, roof tile and other custom amenities offered.

With home designs ranging from three to seven bedrooms with standard features, such as game rooms, great rooms, family rooms, dens and flexible spaces, homebuyers also get the opportunity to maximize areas in their new home to their needs. Different home designs offer features, such as a second master suite, study, guest suite, den, bonus room and a rear balcony.

American West homebuyers also meet with Progressive Home, a company specializing in home technology to customize all of their sound, security, home theater and home automation needs.

Each American West community is a little different and appeals to different types of buyers. New-home designs range from 1,798 to 5,487 square feet and start at $272,500.

“As a local homebuilder, we have helped contribute to the growth of Las Vegas, the city our entire company calls home,” Canarelli said. “We are the only local homebuilder who can state we have been building in Las Vegas since 1984. We take enormous pride in the over 100 new-home communities we have built that has helped to shape this incredible city and the over 17,000 homeowners we have welcomed into the American West family.

“Our homes are in the best neighborhoods, with great schools, parks, golf courses and shopping right at your doorstep,” he said. “When you buy a home built by American West, you can take comfort in knowing that you’ve bought the best quality, choice and value in town.”
