99 Words About: The (presumably) bloody end of ‘Dexter’
September 19, 2013 - 12:14 pm
It’s still bloody. It’s still good. But it hasn’t been bloody good for a while now.
“Dexter” peaked in season four with the pull-yourself-off-the-ceiling shocker of Rita’s death.
It’s been working awfully hard to top that, with diminishing results, ever since.
Remember Deb telling her brother, Dexter, she was in love with him? Even for a serial-killer drama, that was one step too gross.
So what will become of Dex in the series finale (9 p.m. Sunday, Showtime)?
Death? More murders? A vengeance-free life in Argentina?
Only one thing’s certain: After Sunday, there’ll be no more Mr. Knife Guy.
