99 Words About … The most promising new drama of fall

Fall’s biggest question – after “Who thought ABC’s ‘The Neighbors’ was a good idea?” – is whether additional episodes could live up to the fantastic premiere of “Last Resort” (8 p.m. today, KTNV-TV, Channel 13).

Judging by the next two, they can.

There’s a little something for everybody in this tale of a submarine crew who questions a suspicious nuclear strike order, only to be fired upon by other U.S. forces and branded traitors.

Action. Intrigue. Patriotism. Dissension. Honor. Political disarray. Nuclear annihilation. Touches of “Lost” without the hoodoo.

It definitely should be on your radar.

Or, in this case, sonar.
