99 Words About … The different feel of ‘Community’

All the Human Beings are there.

Even Pierce. (For now.)

There’s just something slightly off with each of them and, unfortunately, it’s not the result of another zombie episode.

As much as it hurts to admit, “Community” (8 p.m. today, KSNV-TV, Channel 3) is a different animal without Dan Harmon, its unceremoniously fired, mad-genius creator.

It’s still aggressively weird. Tonight’s premiere features a “Hunger Games” spoof and trips into Abed’s beautiful mind.

But the payoffs – emotionally or hysterically – just aren’t the same.

It’s still better than most sitcoms.

Sadly, though, everything at Greendale is no longer cool, cool, cool.
