99 Words About … ‘Justified’s’ other leading man

Whenever you need a complicated Southerner, Walton Goggins will be there.

Timothy Olyphant may be the cool center of “Justified” (10 p.m. Tuesday, FX). But Goggins’ Boyd Crowder is the crunchy goodness of that particular ice cream bar.

Goggins shines in “Lincoln” and “Django Unchained.”

He was phenomenal as “The Shield’s” Shane Vendrell.

But the slippery Boyd, who quotes Scripture, Isaac Asimov and John Maynard Keynes in the same episode, may be his signature role.

“You can trust me,” he tells an adversary.

“But I don’t even trust the way you just now said ‘I can trust you.’ ”

Exactly.
