Tortoise, Hare take stage at Rainbow Company

The Rainbow Company presents “The Great Cross-Country Race” beginning this weekend at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St.

The children’s play tells the classic story of the Tortoise, played by Kyra Lehtinen, and the Hare, played by Jeremy Boone.

Other characters include Badger, played by Devin Bozzelli; Squirrel, played by Christine More; Bird, played by Alexis Phillips; and Hedgehog, played by Alec TerBerg.

Performances are set for 7 p.m. today, Saturday, Thursday and June 13-14, as well as 2 p.m. matinees Sunday and June 14-15.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for teens and seniors, and $3 for children.
