Strip Tips: Slice of Vegas offering Immortal Burger

A Strip pizza place has introduced a burger that will either make you immortal or it will test your mortality.

Slice of Vegas at The Shoppes in Mandalay Place has introduced the Immortal Burger to honor Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil’s new show about the King of Pop. “Michael Jackson One” debuted at Mandalay Bay last month.

The burger is mighty. It features a half-pound short rib/chuck patty topped with provolone, roasted tomato, basil, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, bacon, ham, capicola and salami.

But that’s not all.

It’s finished with spicy marinara and then sealed with another slice of provolone. It’s all served on a brioche bun spread with Slice’s “Secret Sauce.” The burger costs $16.95 and should give showgoers plenty to ponder before or after the show.

Slice is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The slice counter is open until 2 a.m. For reservations, call 702-632-6470 or visit sliceofvegaspizza.com.

‘Boots & Bikinis’

Swimming pools and mechanical bulls are a match made in heaven, sort of like cowboy boots and bikinis. Head down to Bagatelle Beach at the Tropicana to see just how well all these elements fit together when the dayclub begins its “Boots & Bikinis Sundays.” It starts Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and runs through summer. You can go for 8 seconds on the mechanical bull, do some “Boot Scoot and Boogie” dancing and more.

Locals with ID get in free; admission is $20 for women, $30 for men. For reservations, call 702-701-0200.

Show’s over

That’s all, folks! The Chuck Jones Experience in Circus Circus closed after a year of operation. The Experience was an attraction and retail store combined, featuring interactive displays, Looney Tunes cartoons and more. It served as home to the largest collection of original Chuck Jones animation and fine art, with more than 250 pieces on display. No word on what will happen to the collection.
