Strip Tips: Shark Reef offers free admission for teachers

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is offering teachers free admission for Teacher’s Appreciation Week.

Sunday through May 11, Clark County School District teachers with valid ID get into the attraction for free. They can bring one guest who will also receive complimentary admission.

Besides those dates, teachers, along with one guest, get free admission to Shark Reef on the first full weekend of each month, excluding January. Upcoming dates include this Saturday and Sunday; June 1-2; July 6-7; and Aug. 3-4.

For more information, call 702-632-4555, or visit sharkreef.com. Remember, pay stubs, expired ID badges and insurance cards are not considered valid ID for this promotion.

Drink specials

If you’re going to watch the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, you need to watch it properly, with a mint julep in hand.

All day Saturday, Rockhouse at the Grand Canal Shoppes in The Venetian is offering Jim Beam mint juleps for $5 if you have a sports book ticket from The Venetian’s race and sports book. On Sunday, the dive bar is breaking out the sombreros to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Specials include Dos Equis beer bottles and Sauza Hornitos lime shots, both $5 each. Select margaritas will be $7. Specials last all day.

Cinco de Mayo

PBR Rock Bar & Grill in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort is throwing a little Cinco de Mayo party, too. All-day specials include $5 street tacos and $18 Bud Light Lime and Lime-a-Rita buckets.
