Strip Tips: Discounts offered to military, veterans

Military veterans, active duty and retired military will receive free admission Sunday to Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage. Simply present your valid veteran’s or military ID at the box office to receive admission. Family and friends who accompany the veterans and active duty members will receive the military discount. Adult admission is $16.95; Children 4-12 years is $11.95; Children 3 and under get in free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last admission at 4 p.m.

Food drive

Get two-for-one admission to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas by donating food to benefit HELP of Southern Nevada. Through Monday, the wax museum is holding a food drive, collecting items such as canned foods, boxed stuffing mix, gravy mix packages, soups, canned meat and other nonperishable food items. Make your donation at the box office and then buy your tickets. The offer is good only through the food drive. Please make sure your donations have not expired. Free admission

Madame Tussauds also is offering free admission to veterans and active duty military on Sunday, which is Veterans Day. Present your military ID at the box office to receive one complimentary adult general admission ticket.

Free tickets

In honor of Veterans Day, comedian-magician Mac King is giving veterans and active duty military two free tickets to his show through Nov. 17. Show your veteran’s ID card, a disabled veteran’s ID or a common access card at the Harrah’s box office to get your free tickets. King performs at 1 and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday in the Showroom Theater at Harrah’s. For more information, visit mackingshow.com.
