Strip Tips: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on the Strip

It’s that time of year when people declare their Irish heritage and get busy eating and drinking. Here are a few ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on the Strip:

■ Celtic Feis starts at New York-New York today and runs through Sunday. The annual event at Nine Fine Irishmen and the Brooklyn Bridge features live entertainment, Irish cuisine, drink specials and more. Entry today and Saturday is free. On Sunday, admission costs $25 and includes either a pint of Guinness or a Jameson cocktail.

■ Senor Frog’s at Treasure Island is throwing a party today through Sunday. Get two-for-one green draft beer yards for $19. That’s 6 feet of beer, so you can double-fist it if you’re a serious drinker. Two-for-one lucky green margarita yards cost $26 while Guinness draft beers are going for $8 and Irish Car Bomb shots are on special for $12.

■ Sunday, Public House in the Luxor will offer food and drink specials starting bright and early at 9 a.m. For one hour, you can get $3 Guinness, Blue Moon and Coors Light; from 10 to 11 a.m., the price goes up to $4. At 11 a.m., add another buck for those beers. They’ll be going for $5 until noon. Irish Car Bombs and Jameson shots will be $6 and $5 all day. From 2 to 3 p.m., “Fantasy” dancers will stop by to meet fans and sign their calendars.

■ Ri Ra at the Luxor will host a St. Patrick’s Day festival Saturday and Sunday. Live music, Irish food and daylong festivities will be on tap. At noon on Sunday, the party kicks off with live Irish music. At 2 p.m., a parade of Irish dancers, bagpipe players and others will wind through Mandalay Bay and Luxor. Cover charge on Sunday is $10.
