Film fest

Sure, you can walk like a zombie, but can you eat a cupcake like one? Tonight’s opening festivities for the third annual PollyGrind film festival include the Zombie & Cosplay Red Carpet Walk at 7 p.m., followed by the zombie cupcake-eating contest at 8 p.m. at theatre7 and Gallery 222, located at Third Street and Imperial Avenue. Jeffrey Siegel

‘S Wonderful – that’s the word for “Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel: Gershwin and Friends,” Sunday at The Smith Center for The Performing Arts. Siegel will play George Gershwin’s rarely heard piano solo version of “Rhapsody in Blue” and Leonard Bernstein’s unpublished “Meditation on a Wedding” (a Vegas premiere), plus Aaron Copland’s “Cat and the Mouse,” Scott Joplin’s “Wall Street Rag” and more. Grapes & Hops

Wine, beer and food – but no kangaroos – will be on the menu during the Grapes & Hops Festival from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Springs Preserve. Admission (for 21 and older) is $35 in advance, $40 at the gate, or $60 per couple, which includes unlimited samples of wine and beer and food.
