Seinfeld returns to Colosseum at Caesars

Anyone can pack a room on New Year’s weekend, but it takes a comedian of true stature to fill 4,200 seats on Boxing Day.

Jerry Seinfeld has been the nonsequined spoke in the glitzy wheel of divadom that is the Colosseum at Caesars Palace since the place opened in 2003.

Seinfeld outlasted Bette and Cher, and still drops in between runs by some of the other single-name singers. He even outlasted The Comedy Festival that gave him a “Legacy” award in 2007.

Though his TV show ended in 1998, your chances of catching it on a channel-flip are still good.

But Seinfeld said in 2007 that he still has to prove himself onstage.

“It’s pretty hard to laugh based on former reputation,” he noted. “Laughter is an honest response.”
