Mesquite to host third annual BransonFest Out West

BransonFest Out West will bring music and laughs Monday through Wednesday at the CasaBlanca Event Center in Mesquite.

Tickets starting at $15 for the 7 p.m. shows are available by calling the CasaBlanca Resort at (877) 438-2929 or by visiting www.casablancaresort.com.

“BransonFest 2012 is shaping up to be the best ever,” said Sue Arko, event producer. “All three shows are being especially choreographed for Mesquite. Some of BransonFest’s best entertainers are coming together on one stage to portray the three themes of Branson family entertainment.”

This year’s themes are country, variety and patriotic.

Among bands that will trek to Mesquite for Monday’s opening night will be Jimmy Ray and Black Train, a tribute to Johnny Cash, and Clint Ingbretson, a solo entertainer who will perform the music of Kenny Rogers and Willie Nelson.

On Tuesday, headlining the Elvis and Friends Variety Show will be Rich Vickers and ERocK, also known as Eric Haws. There also will be an appearance by Branson comedian Harley Worthit.

The final night of entertainment will feature Igor and the Jazz Cowboys, who play Dixieland jazz and Western swing; the return of Ingretson, who will portray several U.S. presidents; and Worthit, who will again shed some humor in a return role as a comedian.
