Hybrid track to add thrills to bike racing Saturday
The inaugural Monster Energy Cup supercross/motocross race will roar into Sam Boyd Stadium, 7000 E. Russell Road, on Saturday.
The invitation-only competition will showcase the world’s top racers in a new format incorporating three races on the world’s longest stadium racetrack.
The hybrid event will feature a $250,000 purse, with a bonus of $1 million if one rider wins all three races. Practice, qualifying and a pit party begin at 12:30 p.m. The main event starts at 7 p.m.
