Culture Fest to benefit local middle school

Food and gift vendors and entertainment will highlight the sixth annual Las Vegas Culture Fest from noon to midnight Saturday at the downtown Fremont Street Experience.

The event, which is open free to the public, celebrates all cultures and workforce diversity and benefits Bailey Middle School.

The event will include a book and musical instrument drive to benefit the school, which is being honored at this year’s event because of its cultural mix of students and diverse curriculum.

Dr. Annette Mayes of Las Vegas All Women’s Care will conduct a free health fair during the daylong event.

For more information, call 254-7154.

Sponsors include Walmart, Caesars Entertainment, Southern Nevada Water Authority, Las Vegas All Women’s Care, Blacksinvegas.com, Black Image magazine, KCEP-FM 88.1 and Quick Fit Aerobics.
