Best Bet: Rain delay over for fireworks at Lake Las Vegas

Lake Las Vegas’ Independence Day fireworks spectacular, canceled because of rain on July 3, has been rescheduled for Saturday evening.

Lake Las Vegas, along with The Village at Lake Las Vegas, Aston MonteLago Village Resort, Loews Lake Las Vegas and Ravella, hope to attract a crowd to the free lakeside celebration, which will include live music and art, hotel specials and the fireworks show.

The Walt Blanton Quintet will perform from 7 to 10 p.m., featuring Blanton on trumpet. The group will play tunes from artists such as Miles Davis and jazz standards.

Extreme artist Jean Francois will appear from 8 to 8:30 p.m.

Fireworks will begin at 8:30 p.m.
