Epicurean Affair set for May 31 at Flamingo

The 17th annual Epicurean Affair is scheduled for May 31 at the Flamingo Las Vegas, 3475 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The event, which will take place poolside among the resort’s 15 acres of gardens, will feature samples from more than 100 restaurants, plus entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the educational programs of the Nevada Hospitality and Lodging Association. Tickets are $125 in advance (or $1,000 for a package of 10), $150 at the door. Border Grill at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, will celebrate Cinco de Mayo from noon to midnight Saturday with special menu items, Mexican beers, chilled tequila shots and free tequila frozen pops. Entertainment will include a 10-piece salsa band. …

Chef Gustav Mauler has announced his winemaker dinners for May. Taz Vineyards will be featured during a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sazio at The Orleans, 4500 W.
