Israel Independence Day celebration set
A community Israel Independence Day celebration concert is scheduled from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the new facilities of Congregation Ner Tamid, 55 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson.
Hosted by the United Jewish Community/Jewish Federation of Las Vegas, the event will feature a performance by Visions. The trio performs both old and new Jewish inspirational melodies.
In addition to the concert, U.S. Congressman and Holocaust survivor Tom Lantos, D-Calif., will share some of his personal and professional insights about Israel.
